From September 10-12, 2025, an international scientific conference on "The Environmental Impact of Military Conflicts" will be held, jointly organized by the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Western Caspian University, Tbilisi State University (Georgia), Ege University (Turkey), Karshi State University (Uzbekistan), and the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Renowned scientists and experts from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Sudan, and the United Kingdom will take part in the conference.

The opening ceremony will be held on September 10 at the Grand Hotel Europe, followed by a plenary session. The scientific program of the conference will then continue at the Institute of Radiation Problems in various thematic sections.

The sessions will include scientific presentations on topics such as the impact of military operations on flora and fauna, water resources, air and soil quality, radioecological risks, as well as the consequences of forest fires and mine explosions for the ecosystem.

It should be emphasized that the conference will be devoted exclusively to scientific discussions and will not address political issues.
