An event dedicated to World Decent Work Day was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems

An educational event dedicated to World Decent Work Day was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized by the Trade Union Organization. The event aimed to protect workers' rights, promote a safe and healthy working environment, and strengthen the principles of decent work.

Opening the event, the Institute’s Director General, Corresponding Member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev, emphasized the importance of labor protection in scientific and research institutions. He noted that the event contributed to enhancing employees’ legal awareness and strengthening a culture of safety.

In her speech, the Institute’s Executive Director, Ravan Mehdiyeva, highlighted the history of World Decent Work Day and emphasized the importance of studying international experience in labor protection.

Amina Mikayilova, Chairwoman of the Institute’s Trade Union, Scientific Secretary, and Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, noted that building a culture of labor protection in scientific institutions, educating employees in this field, and ensuring compliance with safety rules play an important role in the Institute’s sustainable development.

The employees of the Institute actively participated in the event, sharing their experiences and exchanging views on the challenges in the field of labor protection and possible solutions.
