New cooperation for the development of science and industry: A memorandum was signed between three organizations
On June 25, 2025, a meeting was held at the High Technologies Park of the Ministry of Science and Education between the management of “ETN Experimental-Industrial Plant” LLC, a resident of the Park, and the Institute of Physics (PLE) and the Institute of Chemistry (PLE).
The meeting was attended by Professor Elchin Huseynov, Acting Director of the Institute of Physics; Professor Afsun Sucayev, Acting Director of the Institute of Chemistry; Sakhavat Rustamov, PhD in Chemistry and General Director of the “ETN Experimental-Industrial Plant” LLC; as well as employees of all three organizations.
The main purpose of the meeting was to expand cooperation between scientific institutions and production, to jointly implement innovative and applied scientific research, to transfer obtained scientific results into production, as well as to discuss opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Within the framework of the event, the participants first familiarized themselves with the production facilities of the ETN Experimental-Industrial Plant, the Scientific Research Testing Laboratory, and other infrastructural capabilities. Afterwards, the delegation visited the “Gamma Irradiation Complex” of the Institute of Physics and received detailed information about the scientific research and applied capabilities of the complex.
During the meeting, Sakhavat Rustamov, General Director of the ETN Experimental-Industrial Plant, delivered a presentation providing detailed information about the enterprise’s areas of activity, implemented innovative projects, and technologies applied in the industrial sector. He noted that the Plant, as the first and only specialized institution in the country conducting innovative testing and applied research in the petrochemical field, makes a significant contribution to establishing effective links between science and production.
During the discussions, the parties noted that the integration of scientific potential with production capabilities would make an important contribution to the development of the country’s innovation ecosystem.
At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of scientific research was signed between “ETN Experimental-Industrial Plant” LLC, the Institute of Physics (Public Legal Entity), and the Institute of Chemistry (Public Legal Entity).
According to the memorandum, the parties will cooperate in the joint implementation of scientific research activities, the development and execution of innovative projects, the commercialization and transfer of scientific results to production, the training of highly qualified scientific personnel, and the conduct of joint laboratory and applied research.
