The Institute of Physics is continuing its series of meetings between the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (ITTO) and laboratory staff to strengthen collaboration and promote innovation
On 3 July 2026, the Institute of Physics, a Public Legal Entity under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, hosted the next meeting between the staff of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and researchers from the Crystallography and Crystal Physics Laboratory.
The meeting was opened with introductory remarks by Professor Ali Mammadov, Chief Researcher of the laboratory, Doctor of Technical Sciences, who provided a comprehensive overview of the laboratory's ongoing research activities. During the meeting, participants discussed a number of promising projects with strong potential for technology transfer to industry and the capacity to address the current needs of the labor market.
Subsequently, Nahida Musayeva, PhD in Physics and a researcher at the laboratory, delivered a comprehensive presentation on carbon nanotubes and their diverse fields of application.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Nargiz Aliyeva, Head of the Laboratory and PhD in Physics, noted that the laboratory operates in three main research areas, each with its own distinctive strengths and advantages. She particularly emphasized the importance of the X-ray analyses conducted in the laboratory, highlighting their significant contribution to the Institute's scientific activities and to the advancement of science in Azerbaijan as a whole.
The meeting continued in an atmosphere of constructive discussion and exchange of ideas. At the conclusion of the event, Namiq Heydarov, Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), thanked the participants for their active engagement and expressed his confidence that new initiatives and joint activities developed through mutual cooperation would make a significant contribution to the advancement of physics research in Azerbaijan.
