The Innovation and Technology Transfer Office Continues Its Series of Meetings with Laboratory Staff at the Institute of Physics
On 6 July 2026, the Institute of Physics, a Public Legal Entity under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, hosted the next meeting between the staff of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and researchers from the Thin Films and Epitaxial Structures Laboratory.
The meeting was opened with introductory remarks by Namiq Heydarov, Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO). He provided the participants with a comprehensive overview of the Office's activities and emphasized that such meetings play a vital role in integrating scientific research outcomes into the innovation ecosystem and expanding collaborative partnerships.
Subsequently, Associate Professor Khuraman Ahmadova, Head of the Laboratory, introduced the laboratory's main areas of research and provided an overview of its ongoing scientific research activities.
Following this, Shikhamir Eminov, Chief Researcher of the laboratory and Doctor of Physics, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the laboratory's research into the modern applications of nanostructured materials, smart sensor systems, the growth of nanowires, and the development of specialized glass materials for optical sensors.
The meeting continued in an atmosphere of constructive discussion and exchange of ideas, with participants' questions being addressed in detail.
At the conclusion of the event, Associate Professor Khuraman Ahmadova and Namiq Heydarov, Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), expressed their appreciation to the participants and noted that meetings of this kind would make a significant contribution to strengthening future collaborations and advancing physics research in Azerbaijan.
