A Series of Meetings Between the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office and Laboratory Staff Continues at the Institute of Physics
On 8 July 2026, another meeting was held at the Institute of Physics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a Public Legal Entity, between the staff of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the researchers of the Optoelectronics and Photonics Laboratory.
Opening the meeting, the Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), Namiq Heydarov, provided the participants with a comprehensive overview of the Office’s areas of activity, its key objectives, and the initiatives undertaken to facilitate the transformation of scientific research outcomes into innovative products.
Following this, the Head of the Optoelectronics and Photonics Laboratory, PhD in Physics Narmin Ismayilova, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the laboratory’s main research areas, ongoing scientific investigations, and prospective research projects.
The meeting continued with a presentation by the laboratory’s researcher, Abbas Imamaliyev, PhD in Physics, who delivered an in-depth overview of liquid crystals and their modern applications. His presentation highlighted the use of liquid crystals across various technological fields, particularly in display technologies and night vision devices. The topic attracted considerable interest from the participants and was followed by an engaging discussion and exchange of views.
The meeting continued in an interactive discussion format, during which the participants' questions were addressed in detail.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), Namiq Heydarov, thanked the participants for their active engagement and emphasized that such meetings make a significant contribution to strengthening scientific collaboration within the Institute, promoting innovative ideas, and creating new opportunities for the transfer of research outcomes to industry.
