A Series of Meetings Between the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office and Laboratory Staff Continues at the Institute of Physics

On 13 July 2026, another meeting was held at the Institute of Physics, a Public Legal Entity under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, between the staff of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the researchers of the Functional Materials Physics Laboratory.

Opening the meeting, the Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), Namiq Heydarov, provided the participants with a comprehensive overview of the Office’s areas of activity, its key objectives, and the initiatives undertaken to transform scientific research outcomes into innovative products.

Following this, the Head of the Functional Materials Physics Laboratory, PhD in Physics Elshan Asadov, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the laboratory’s main research areas. He provided detailed information on the investigation of the luminescence properties of semiconductor materials, the synthesis of functional materials, and their diverse practical and technological applications.

The meeting continued with a presentation by the laboratory’s Leading Researcher, PhD in Physics Baxtiyar Salmanov, who introduced the ongoing research on nanoporous photodetectors and plasma radiation. He provided an overview of the laboratory’s scientific investigations and recent advances in these fields. Subsequently, the laboratory’s researchers, PhD in Physics Niyazi Mursakulov and PhD in Physics Vusala Kazimova, presented their respective research areas and informed the participants about the scientific studies they are currently conducting.

The meeting continued with an interactive discussion and exchange of ideas, during which the participants' questions were thoroughly addressed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Functional Materials Physics Laboratory, Elshan Assdov, and the Head of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (TTO), Namiq Heydarov, expressed their appreciation to the participants for their active engagement. They emphasized that meetings of this kind play a vital role in strengthening scientific collaboration within the Institute, promoting innovative ideas, and facilitating the transfer of research outcomes to industry.
