As part of the international conference on "Environmental Impact of Military Conflicts", section meetings were held on September 10-11 at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan.
Experts and officials from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, Sudan, and the United Kingdom participated in the meetings and provided in-depth analyses on topics such as environmental risks in conflict zones, impacts on flora and fauna, pollution of water bodies, and the rehabilitation of war-affected areas.
It should be noted that the sessions were distinguished by their practical approaches, including satellite monitoring, the impact of landmine explosions on soil, and the use of alternative energy solutions.
Question-and-answer sessions and discussion platforms were organized around the presented topics. Participants exchanged views on the scientific results, discussed future cooperation opportunities, and explored possible solutions to environmental problems.
