The Institute of Radiation Problems hosted a scientific session commemorating the 120th anniversary of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev
A scientific session commemorating the 120th anniversary of the distinguished scientist, Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, after which a minute of silence was observed in honor of the martyrs who gave their lives for the Motherland.
In his opening remarks, the Director General of the Institute of Radiation Problems, Corresponding Member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev, noted:
“In the history of every nation, there are remarkable personalities whose names and contributions leave an enduring imprint on its scientific and cultural progress. Yusif Mammadaliyev is among these distinguished figures, and his scientific legacy continues to shape the trajectory of Azerbaijani science today.”
Subsequently, the floor was given to Academician Vagif Abbasov, Director of the Mammadaliyev Institute of Petrochemical Processes. In his remarks, he discussed Mammadaliyev’s life and scientific achievements, particularly his research on high-octane aviation gasoline and his significant contributions to the advancement of the petrochemical industry.
The organizers announced the results of the “Best Article” competition among young researchers, held in honor of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev’s scientific legacy. The winners — Aida Mirzayeva, Aybeniz Ahadova, and Nijat Mirzayev — received honorary certificates in recognition of their achievements.
At the conclusion of the event, a video highlighting the life and scientific contributions of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev was presented.
