Meeting of the Scientific Council Held at the Institute of Radiation Problems
The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems. The meeting was opened with an introductory speech by the Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev, who presented the agenda items to the members of the Scientific Council.
During the meeting, a report on the Institute’s annual activities was delivered by the Executive Director, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva, who also provided information on current ongoing work.
A number of scientific and organizational issues were discussed. Among them was the publication of the monographs “Tea Bark” and “Azerbaijani Wheats” authored by the leading researcher of the Radiobiology Laboratory, Associate Professor Nizami Rzayev. It was also decided to nominate Doctor of Chemical Sciences Zenfira Iskanderova for an award on the occasion of her 75th anniversary.
In addition, a decision was made to submit the monograph “Thermo-Radiation-Heterogeneous Processes in Atomic Hydrogen Energy” by Professor A. A. Garibov for the State Prize of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Scientific Council approved changes to the specialty, dissertation topic, and scientific supervisors of doctoral candidate Ahmed Ahadov.
The Council also approved the extension of the secondment of Sabuhi Nuriyev, an engineer at the “Radiation Physics of Segnoelectrics” Laboratory, to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Furthermore, a letter of appeal from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan was discussed, including the issue of ensuring integration with the digital document circulation subsystem.
The meeting also reviewed matters related to labor and executive discipline, discussed current operational issues, and adopted relevant decisions.
