The Institute of Radiation Problems hosted the next meeting of the Scientific Council
The subsequent meeting of the Scientific Council convened at the Institute of Radiation Problems under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where several significant matters were discussed.
The agenda of the meeting included a discussion of the action plan for the socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030. The strategy was carefully examined by the Scientific Council members to ensure that it aligned with the institute's research priorities and future scientific directions.
The organization of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of ANAS was also among the main topics discussed at the meeting. In addition, the results of the institute’s scientific activities for 2024 were reviewed, with an analysis of the achievements attained and the existing shortcomings.
A proposal was made to award Zenfira Iskanderova, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, and leading researcher at the Laboratory of Environmental Radiation Chemistry, on the occasion of her 75th birthday. At the same time, a decision was made to prepare the institute’s annual report for 2025.
During the meeting, a book published about the institute was presented to its employees. In addition, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry Fethullah Chichek was awarded the certificate of Associate Professor.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of current issues.
