The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems, where a number of important issues related to the scientific and organizational activities of the institute were discussed.
The event highlighted the inclusion of three employees of the institute - PhD in Physics Gunel Imanova, Doctor of Physical Sciences Elchin Huseynov, and Doctor of Physical Sciences Matlab Mirzayev - in the "Top 2% Scientists" list jointly compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier Publishing House. Director General of the Institute and Corresponding Member of ANAS I. Mustafayev delivered a speech congratulating the researchers, highly valuing their scientific achievements, and noting that this success serves as an inspiring example for young scientists.
The meeting also featured the presentation of a book documenting the Institute's 55 years of activity and scientific heritage. The publication highlights the Institute's history, key research areas, international collaborations, and notable scientific achievements.
At the same time, the transfer of doctoral students from the former National Nuclear Research Center to the Institute of Radiation Problems was also raised and discussed.
A vote was held on submitting documents to the Higher Attestation Commission for Narmin Guliyeva, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology and Head of the Education Department of the Institute of Radiation Problems, to receive the academic title of associate professor. It should be noted that the submission was approved unanimously by the members of the Scientific Council. The meeting concluded with a discussion of current issues.
